SITUS BACUKIKI DI KOTA PARE-PARE: PELUANG PEMANFAATAN SEBAGAI OBJEK WISATA BUDAYA

Abstract

The history revealed that The Kingdom of Bacukiki, Parepare (now is a part of South Sulawesi was visited by Portuguese ships around XVI century in the same period with Suppa, Alitta, Sidenreng and Siang Kingdom. Nowadays, the ex-river harbour called "Soreang padangkange" not far from the ex-market "lontange" still can be seen. According to locale's information, the "Lontange" market was the place to manages goods from abroad. Based on the research conducted by Balai Arkeologi Makassar, the maket site "Lontange" had been used as a trading activities and a number of ancient coin from XVI till XVIII century also found there. Another archaeological remains found are the Bacukiki Kingdom Burial Site and also an ancient mosque. Besides, there also found a sacred ceremonial place where "Tolotang" beliefers celebrate an annual ceremony which located at Buluroang, the top of mount Bacukiki. The precence of Bacukiki site, hoped can be developed as one of the cultural tourism object.


Sejarah mengungkapkan bahwa Kerajaan Bacukiki, Parepare dikunjungi oleh kapal-kapal Portugis sekitar abad XVI pada periode yang sama dengan Kerajaan Suppa, Alitta, Sidenreng dan Siang). Saat ini, pelabuhan bekas sungai bernama "Soreang padangkange "tidak jauh dari bekas pasar" lontange "masih dapat dilihat. Menurut informasi lokal, pasar" Lontange "adalah tempat untuk mengelola barang dari luar negeri. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Balai Arkeologi Makassar, situs pembuat" Lontange "telah digunakan sebagai kegiatan perdagangan dan sejumlah koin kuno dari abad XVI hingga XVIII juga ditemukan di sana. Sisa-sisa arkeologis lain yang ditemukan adalah Situs Pemakaman Kerajaan Bacukiki dan juga sebuah masjid kuno. Selain itu, juga terdapat tempat upacara sakral di mana Para penganut agama "Tolotang" merayakan upacara tahunan yang berlokasi di Buluroang, puncak gunung Bacukiki, yang menjadi lokasi sebelum situs Bacukiki, diharapkan dapat dikembangkan sebagai salah satu objek wisata budaya.
